Dramatic day sees Argentina win the 2024 Copa America.
After thousands of supporters were barred from entering Miami's Hard Rock Stadium due to tumultuous and unsafe circumstances, the Copa America final between Argentina and Colombia was postponed for over an hour.


82 minutes after it was supposed to begin, the game eventually started at 9:22 p.m. ET. Despite the loss of their top player Lionel Messi due to an injury, Argentina went on to defend their Copa America title, defeating Colombia 1-0 in extra time.


According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, "several incidents" occurred before to the stadium's gates opening. The Athletic met with fans who blamed CONMEBOL, the organizers. Someone remarked, "It's a disaster." They refuse to even offer water. Not even with water!
