Governor Gavin Newsom of California supports "fearless" Harris Kamala

Governor Gavin Newsom (D) of California endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris following President Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 contest on Sunday.

Why it matters: Harris should benefit from yet another high-profile endorsement, as earlier on Sunday she received support for her Democratic presidential ticket from former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

What he's expressing: "Hard. Without fear. Tenacious," Newsom remarked of the former senator from California and top prosecutor in the Bay Area.

"No one is more qualified to lead our coalition and pursue the case against Donald Trump's diabolical vision when our democracy and future are at risk."
